How Royals Travel

celebrities meaning

While the Royals have traveled the exact same route for centuries, Kate and Meghan took a different approach to their trips. As with any other traveler, royals should be prepared for all situations. The royals should always take a black outfit on flights to avoid embarrassing situations. This will ensure they don't appear inappropriately dressed. Listed below are some tips to help you travel like a royal. To learn more about royal travel, read our royal guide.

Royal Train

The Royal Train currently consists of nine carriages. This includes a dining car, sleeping accommodations, and a kitchen. Each cost approximately PS800,000. The interior of the Royal Train is much more minimalistic than that of Queen Victoria's trains. Queen Elizabeth prefers a practical style that suits the limited space in train carriages. Several early carriages were taken out of service during the 1977 refurbishment. They have the same look as IKEA-style furniture.

Prince Charles's carbon footprint

During his recent visit, the British monarchy offered to publish his own carbon footprint. In his annual review, the prince will list all carbon emissions from his household as well as those of his travels. He will be a target for the British press as this is likely to be embarrassing, but he wants to change it.

It's also a bonus that you don't have luggage restrictions to worry about!

Prince Andrew's Golf Tournament Trip

Public outcry has erupted due to Prince Andrew's alleged misuse of royal patronage. The royal family has consistently denied the allegations against them, but the latest controversy surrounds the prince's trip to a golf tournament. The prince visited Northern Ireland's Royal Portrush Golf Club and enjoyed a round on the course. The Open tournament took place in July at the Royal Portrush, where the prince played with Gary McNeill, a British professional golfer. Prince Andrew's recent trip has also been scrutinised due his close friendship, Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey Epstein is a former golfer who committed self-harm in prison last month.
