FAQ

Hollywood became famous because of its fame.

The simple answer was yes. Because they were willing take risks and do something completely different, it became famous. They had the fortitude to make films that would remain in people's minds for years.

They were also willing to try out new ideas.

Why is Hollywood so famous?

D.W. Griffith established the first film industry in California, 1887. It was named for Los Angeles, which was at the time called "Hollywood."

It was an exciting place to visit and the name stuck. People came from all parts of the country to see what was going on there.

Hollywood is still a part of our culture today. We have movies and television shows, music videos, commercials and so on. They are all called Hollywood.

Who is Hollywood's most famous actor?

Tom Hanks is the most highly-paid actor of all time. He earns at least $25 million per movie. According to Celebrity Net Worth.

Will Smith is second, having earned $65,000,000 over four years for his contribution to Independence Day.

Tom Cruise is third, having earned $60 million over five-years for his role as Ethan Hunt on Mission Impossible.

Fourth place goes to Daniel Craig who earned $50 million over four decades for his role as James Bond in Skyfall.

Fifth place goes to Leonardo DiCaprio, who earned $45 million over five years for starring in Titanic.

Sixth place goes Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt earned $40 million over six decades for his role as Steve McQueen, 12 Years a Slave.

Robert Downey Jr. is seventh, having earned $35 million over seven decades for his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man/Iron Man in Iron Man.

Johnny Depp, who made $30 million in eight years to play Captain Jack Sparrow's role in Pirates of The Caribbean, takes eighth place.

Ninth spot goes to George Clooney. He earned $25 million over nine year for his portrayal of Matt Damon in Good Night and Good Luck.

Angelina Jolie took 10th place. Angelina Jolie earned $20M over 11 years for her roles on Mr. & Mrs Smith.

Is Hollywood larger than Bollywood?

Producing a movie that is well-received by the public is the biggest challenge for film producers.

There are so many movies out there competing for your time and money. It's hard to stand out among the rest and get noticed.

What makes a movie a success? What makes an actor well-known? Or a director? You need to have talent but also luck. It doesn't matter if your actors are the best in the world. But a poor script will make you lose everything.

There are two types of films: independent productions and blockbuster movies with big budgets. Blockbuster films can cost hundreds and millions of dollars to make and distribute. These blockbuster movies are usually produced by big studios who want their movies to reach as broad an audience as possible. But, these high-budget films are more appealing to older audiences.

Independent films can be smaller productions funded by individuals or groups. These films are often targeted at niche markets and appeal to particular tastes. They're usually less expensive to produce and market. However, this does not mean they are always less expensive to watch. Most indie films are difficult to find.

The question is: Do we really need both types of movies? Are we going to need both big blockbuster movies or small independent films? Well, I think that Hollywood is actually bigger than Bollywood. Hollywood produces nearly twice as many movies annually as India.

What happens if my movie doesn't do well at the box office

Several things could happen if your film performs poorly at the box office.

You might want to change the marketing of your film.

You might also decide to modify the script.

You might also consider adding new characters.

Fourth, it is possible to decide to eliminate certain characters.

Fifth, you might want to make some cuts.

Sixth, and you might decide that it wasn't worthwhile making the film.
